    • Have an up to date passport
    • Create a short list of countries for short term visas and long term visas
    • Book accommodations for the first 2 weeks while you look for more permanent spaces
    • Save enough to be able to buffer time in another country for up to 5 months

    • Pack essentials like critical documents, vaccine proofs, medication records
    • Know where to go to apply for your visas

    • Get health insurance in that country
    • Get an immigration attorney for the country you are moving to
    • Befriend locals and neighbors - work to integrate yourself into the community and learn their values
