  • Have an up to date passport.
  • Create a short list of countries for short term visas and long term visas.
  • Book accommodations for the first 2 weeks while you look for more permanent spaces.
  • Save enough to be able to buffer time in another country for up to 5 months.

  • Inform a trusted person for your travel plans.
  • Pack essentials like critical documents, vaccine proofs, medication records.
  • Know where to go to apply for your visas.

Things to do when you’re there

  • Get health insurance in that country.
  • Get an immigration attorney for the country you are moving to.
  • Befriend locals and neighbors - work to integrate yourself into the community and learn their values.
